So you’ve been watching CSI on TV and marveled at the Computer Data Recovery boffins working their magic. You may be thinking to yourself is it really possible to get data back from a laptop hard disk or usb drive after it has been through infernos, floods, and then run over by a truck afterwards? Well as unbelievable as it sounds, the answer is in most cases, yes! I’ll provide some info below on how the real life experts actually go about this stuff.

TV Flash Lamp hides TV

June 15, 2010 |11:11 | Electronics  By : Team X

Sometimes it’s nice not to have all of your technology on display.  I’m a big one that I really don’t want to be able to see the TV all the time in my bedroom, but I like having one in there for rare occasions when I want to lay down and watch TV.  Thankfully one designer has created a creative way to hide your small flat panel TV.  Instead of stashing it in an armoire, you could hide it inside of this Flash Lamp.

TV Flash Lamp hides TV

Normally it’ll look like just a chunky lamp, with a working light and everything.  Then it can easily transform to reveal your LCD TV.  It can hide one of up to 23 inches in size.  Then after you’re finished it just slides back into place and can be used as a regular lamp.  This is a design by Denis Santachiara done for Roche Bobois.  Sadly, there isn’t much information on how to purchase it, but you could always contact the designer to see if it is available for purchase.

iPad Camera Connection Kit To Offer USB Audio Output?

April 17, 2010 |11:15 | Electronics  By : Team X

iPad Camera Connection Kit To Offer USB Audio Output

This is still a rumor at this point, but many folks are speculating that the iPad Camera Connection Kit might be able to allow USB audio output, since it’s offering you a USB port anyways. If that’s true, it would be rather interesting.

As you might even be able to hook up some useful devices to the iPad. Another possible use would be if you were able to charge your USB devices from it, such as your Mifi. Of course, that sounds a little bit like wishful thinking, but when you take into account a Mifi has about 4-6 hours of battery life and the iPad has 10 hours, sharing might actually be caring, wouldn’t you think?
