The Samsung B3210 Corby TXT is a simple, colourful, text-dedicated mobile phone with a full QWERTY keyboard on its front, clearly dedicated to youth market, at an affordable price. Advanced features are not expected from this handset, besides the usual basic multimedia and social networking functions. In the box, Samsung has included two extra back covers, in order to expand the colour possibilities of this handset, allowing users to customise it beyond simple themes.

The Samsung Corby TXT has a 2.2" landscape-format display with 220x176 pixels in resolution, which makes it look pixelated; 40MB of internal memory with support for microSD memory cards, a 3.5mm audio jack for music needs, Bluetooth, a 2 megapixel camera with video recording capability, an HTML browser, FM radio, and Java support. There is no 3G connectivity, nor there is a memory card included in the box. Hardware: Build and Design Even though the keyboard is quite small, its keys are well distinguishable. A QWERTY keyboard is a must for heavy texters, and for the South African youth, addicted to instant messaging, the Corby TXT couldn't come sooner.
Being a low-end phone, the B3210 couldn't afford stereo high-quality speakers, although the built-in ones do provide a good audio experience, but better than that is the 3.5mm audio jack on the handset, which allows connectivity to any universal speakers and earphones. The volume keys aren't placed in the best possible position, being difficult to access them, but of course, this is just a minor issue. The Samsung B3210's 2 megapixel camera is somewhat weak in terms of image quality, but it does do the job in the end. A dedicated camera button is located on the right side of the phone. An 800mAh battery provides the Corby TXT's power, making last for more than a few days. Samsung promises talk-time for up to 7.5 hours, and standby-time as 390 hours. It is worth remembering that the handset comes with two extra back covers in order to provide extra-personalisation. With all these features, even though basic, the Corby TXT is surely worth its price-tag.
