“The new Samsung NX10 marks the start of the next generation of cameras. For the first time in the market, Samsung has successfully integrated an APS-C size sensor into a compact body by eliminating the mirror box, meaning that our users can now be as creative as they want to be on the move without having to compromise on image quality,” commented Ravinder Zutshi, Dy MD, Samsung India Electronics Pvt. Ltd.
The new camera from Samsung’s roster features a fast, decisive auto-focus 14.6 megapixel APS-C size sensor and a unique, large 3.0-inch AMOLED screen. The integration now enables users to easily view their favorite images, even in bright sunlight. To ensure that users never miss a moment, the latest DRIMe Pro engine and advanced AF algorithm render ultra-fast auto-focus speed with the higher precision of contrast AF.
For photography aficionados not just limited to taking shots, the capability to narrate stories in video format with high-definition movie recording (H.264 codec) can be put to use. The device’s screen touts to provide 30,000 times faster response rate that conventional LCDs, has lower power consumption and a higher contrast ratio.
In addition, the latest entrant comes equipped with in-depth manual controls and a Smart Auto function which can automatically detect the surrounding environment of the shot, selecting the right shot mode. Its Smart Range now lets users vividly express both bright areas and dark areas in the same frame.
Further, the Supersonic Dust Reduction system assists in keeping those dust particles clear of the image sensor that can often impair an image. Users can also scroll through the images, view thumbnails, zoom in or out, view slideshows, delete and protect an image and set the print order. Not to slip by, the useful Image Edit option subsumes a myriad of different ways to alter the look of an already-taken image, including redeye fix, backlight, changing the photo style, resizing and rotating.
The new Samsung NX10 is available in black with two variants, first with an 18-55mm lens kit (Rs 42,990) and second with 30mm Pan Cake lens (Rs. 44,990).
