Canon’s Budget ShootersCanon’s presence at most Consumer Electronics Show conventions gives the company an opportunity to blow out a vast range of still-camera product, but this year it’s only the budget line that gets revamped. With prices starting at $90, the A-series PowerShots are aimed at entry-level photographer or those who want to tuck a spare shooter into that purse or pocket.

Following the consumer electronics mantra, Canon adds features while maintaining pricing. For $110, the A1200 has 12 megapixels, a four-time optical zoom and will record HD video in 720p. And — hold onto your hats — the A1200 has an optical viewfinder, too. The top-of-the-line A3300, at $180, is 16 megapixels, with a 5-times zoom and 3-inch screen. Rounding out the line is the A800 (($90) and A2200, at$140.
