Motorola Defy on T-Mobile Gets Android ‘Froyo’ 2.2

One of the biggest gripes consumers have with Google’s Android mobile operating system is the fact that it takes quite some time before the latest versions of the platform get pushed out to phones available on the market. Luckily, things have begun to stabilize as of late with many of the biggest smartphones getting updated to at least Android ‘Froyo’ 2.2. However, there are still many phones running earlier versions of Android leading to unhappy consumers anxious for news regarding the latest updates.

If you have a Motorola Defy today seems to be your lucky day. The reason I say this is because it was just made known that the Android ‘Froyo’ 2.2 update has begun going out for the Motorola Defy on T-Mobile. However, some reports are suggesting that the update is not being automatically rolled out and that you’ll have to manually start the update yourself.

Luckily, Motorola has posted an extension manual regarding the update including a download link and instructions on how to start the download from your phone wirelessly.
