Google's Honeycomb operating system is yet to make an impression in the tablet market with manufacturers reporting fewer sales than expected. That being said, a recent survey has suggested that the droid tablets will end the iPad's dominance by 2016 which should come as a relief to Google. By next year, a bunch of new Honeycomb tablets will arrive in the market, which will considerably improve the market share. There are still a couple of Android 3.1 tabs to be launched this year, one of them being Dell's first Honeycomb tablet, the Dell Streak 10 Pro.

We now have access to images of the tablet posing along with the Streak 7 and the 5" Dell Streak. The Streak 7 was launched earlier in March with Android 2.2 Froyo for obvious reasons. However, in the picture, the Streak 7 is shown running on Honeycomb, which could mean that an update is on the horizon. The Streak 7 was launched by Dell with Honeycomb in mind, but the software couldn't make the final cut due to the reduced display size. It seems like Dell has finally solved that and the users can now taste Honeycomb on the Streak 7.

Dell had been a silent spectator while the likes of ASUS, Acer, and other manufacturers rolled out their tablets, but it seems to be getting ready to break its silence. The Dell Streak 10 Pro is a regular Honeycomb tablet with features almost similar to the competition. A 10.1" display (1280x800) is on board with a 5 MP rear and a 2 MP front facing camera for video calls. Other features include 1 GB RAM, 1 GHz dual core NVIDIA Tegra 2 chipset, Wi-Fi, GPS, etc. The tablet will be launched in China this week, which is highly indicative of the fact that other Asian markets are next in line. Dell has not yet made any official announcement regarding the matter, but it is expected to do that soon.
