NEW:  MCC-8001U

The new MCC-8001U Series of Multiviewers (image scalers / processors) accommodate up to 2 HD / SD-SDI / composite video ( PAL / NTSC) inputs and up to 2 VGA / DVI outputs on single displays.  This series offers output resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 (50 / 60 Hz.)  The MCC-8001U series also provides on-screen labels, borders, and tally indicators, offering a fully integrated on "screen display for visual monitoring.

The MCC-8001U also features 3-D 10-bit Comb Filters, which separate brightness and color signals more efficiently in a 3D domain. This eliminates cross-color, cross-luminance and dot-crawl distortion - all of which detract from the visual monitoring experience.

This new Series uses the latest DCDiTM technology from Faroudja, to optimize its full screen mode regardless of the input format. DCDi is a video mode algorithm that stands for Directional Correlation Deinterlacing.

DCDi was designed for video based material like fast-paced sporting events. Its purpose is to eliminate jagged edges (jaggies) along diagonal lines caused by interpolation. Typical motion video processing relies on something called intra-field spatial interpolation to generate the missing lines of video from interlaced sourced material. This approach successfully suppresses motion artifacts; however, moving images and diagonal edges (actually, all edges which are not strictly horizontal or vertical) create jagged edge artifacts.  While missing lines are successfully generated, the information generated does not exactly match that of the edges of the object originally filmed.

DCDi, by Faroudja, takes the idea of interpolation to a much higher level.  It interpolates based on how objects are moving in a scene, basing its calculations on the big picture instead of relying on a limited mathematical model.  More specifically, it identifies all of the moving edges in a scene while adjusting the angle of interpolation at each pixel so that the interpolation always follows the edge instead of crossing it.

The MCC-8001U series is available in two models.

NEW:  Rainier 2u2v

The Rainier 2u2v module is a new member of Avitech s cost-effective and compact line of Rainier Series Multiviewers.   It accepts 2 auto-detecting HD / SD-SDI / composite video (PAL / NTSC) inputs PLUS 2 auto-detecting VGA / DVI (YPbPr) inputs giving users the ability to visually monitor both HD / SD video and computer inputs on a single display.  The Rainier 2u2v offers high quality output resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 and is delivered as a rack size module making it ideal for space-deficient applications.

Also, the windows can be resized and re-positioned, and labeled, offering you a truly configurable visual display of your content.

NEW:  VCC-8000U - Models VCC-8004U, and VCC-8008U

Avitech is launching two new models of their VCC-8000 series of Multiviewers; the VCC-8004U, and the VCC-8008U.

The VCC-8004U allows you to visually monitor a total of 4 inputs " 2 VGA / DVI (YPbPr) inputs, and 2 auto-sensing HD / SD-SDI / composite video (PAL / NTSC) inputs.

The VCC-8008U processes a total of 8 inputs - 4 VGA / DVI (YPbPr) inputs, and 4 HD/ SD-SDI/ composite video (PAL / NTSC) inputs, and all at the same time on a single display using a single 1RU module.  It gives you the flexibility to mix and match these formats in any combination, depending on the application at hand.

Each VCC-8000U module can easily be cascaded with any other VCC-8000 module giving you the ability to display up to 120 images on a single display.  This expansion is made possible by Avitech s open and distributed architecture where each module operates independently to ensure no single point of failure.   Plus, the VCC-8000 series can be combined with Avitech s other products including the MCC-8004 series, and the ACC-8000 series, offering you an expansive facility-wide visual monitoring environment   This gives you the ability to monitor inputs ranging from HD-SDI to component video or VGA / DVI as well as offering embedded analogue and AES/EBU audio through audio meters.
